A record that travels

01Context

Young athletes move between schools, universities, clubs, academies and national programmes. Their performance history rarely moves with them.

02What I initially thought

I thought the problem was visibility: scouts couldn't see talent.

03What changed

Visibility without verification isn't much use. What institutions needed was a record they could trust, one that persisted as the athlete moved between them, with clear rules for transfers.

04What I built

An athlete registry with league, tournament, analytics and transfer-governance workflows, integrated with MTN Rwanda MoMo.

The RYA Launch Cup in Kigali (April 2026), a university basketball tournament, became a live field test: I organised it, coordinated delivery and institutional relationships, and ran it on verified digital performance records.

07What I learned

Portability is part of trust. A record that can't leave the institution that created it only partly belongs to the person it describes.

08Back to the question

Rovify asks the question of people rather than goods or machines: how a person's performance becomes a record that institutions they haven't met yet can trust.
